Carl Harris Takes the Win at Cadwell Park

Carl Harris took his maiden Pirelli British Sportbike Championship victory at Cadwell Park, and we're still buzzing about it here at Hawk. Watching him cross the finish line felt like a win for all of us who've been following his journey.

For anyone who knows Carl's story, this win carries a weight that goes well beyond the results. Cadwell Park was his late father's favourite circuit to race, and that makes yesterday's win feel less like a coincidence and more like something that was meant to be.

Carl's dad, Karl "Bomber" Harris, was a three-time British Supersport champion and one of the most respected riders of his generation. His nickname came from the WWII bomber aircrafts. He passed away in 2014, but his influence on the sport, and on Carl, has never faded.

So when a bomber plane flew directly overhead just after Carl took the win, it was incredibly emotional for everyone in attendance. Sometimes a moment just speaks for itself.

The race itself was no easy ride. Carl fought through 12 hard-fought laps on a circuit still carrying damp patches from an earlier shower, holding off Asher Durham to take the win by less than half a second. 

We've been proud to sponsor Carl for a little over a year now, but we've been following his career for much longer than that. Watching him carry the Harris name forward on track, and do it with the same heart and determination his father was known for, is something we don't take lightly.

Congratulations, Carl. Yesterday belonged to you, but somewhere, we're sure your dad was watching too.
